“Weld Flowers” started as a request from my wife.
She wanted me to make her bouquet for our wedding out of some vintage valve handles. So, I did. That one request led me down a making path of frenzy where I also made a dozen single flowers and vases as wedding favors, one flower as my boutonnière, and a handful of others as gifts. You can see these flowers in all their wedding glory on our wedding photographer’s site - Crystal Genes Photography.*
So, after making more than 20 “weld flowers” in a long weekend, I worked out a repeatable setup and now have single stems and pipe vases available in the Flower Shop. Contact me if you’re interested in a more sculptural piece like the “Climbing Vines” I put together in a free-pile found drawer
*Crystal is also originally from NC, so that makes a bit extra cool and you should check her out if you need wedding photos.
